.NAME Domain Names

Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain is the only one intended for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to book john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought third-level names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can register your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been completed. There are no specific prerequisites on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME generic TLD is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the correct spelling in your native language.
